In the face of a national wave of attacks against us, we recognize that NYC Pride has always been
more than just a local event. Since the Stonewall Riots and protests we’ve been a tidal wave for the
global LGBTQIA+ movement. The courage and visibility we embody in New York City empowers
individuals worldwide to embrace their identities and fight for their rights, even in the face of immense danger. The NYC Pride March is a catalyst, a powerful demonstration of the strength in our
numbers and the enduring spirit of our community.
The time for passive support is over. NYC Pride is facing an unprecedented challenge. As some
long-standing corporate partners retreat — pulling back or disappearing entirely — we’re left with
a simple truth: if you stand with the LGBTQIA+ community, now is the time to prove it — visibly,
vocally, and materially. We’re proud that nearly 75% of our partners have increased their support.
These are the leaders who understand that Pride is not just a party — it’s a protest, a celebration
and a lifeline.
NYC Pride is a nonprofit. We receive no city or federal funding. Every free, inclusive, and affirming event we host exists because people choose to invest in our mission. Our mission doesn’t stop
when the spotlight fades or the political climate turns.
If you believe in a future where LGBTQIA+ people can live freely, safely, and openly, then help build
that future. Donate. Volunteer. Show up. Pride is not free — but it must remain accessible. And that
takes all of us.
As we face adversity, join us to embrace the spirit of “Rise Up, Pride in Protest.” We invite you to
join us this June, to celebrate and make our collective protest heard!
